…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…Hebrews 12:1-2

June 2 Thank you for praying for Phil’s sinus surgery yesterday! The procedure went well and he was able to finish out Affinity Week for our new personnel today!

June 4 Pray for our colleagues on the field who will be attending meetings this month. Pray for a great time of fellowship, rest, relaxation, and that the worship and meeting times would be meaningful and helpful.

June 5 Muslims in Niger and around the world will be observing Ramadan this month, marked by fasting from food and water during the daylight hours. Since this is a time when Muslims are especially sensitive to spiritual things and earning God’s favor, pray that their hearts will be open to the gospel and that there would be many opportunities for them to hear the Word and receive the truth.

June 7 This month will offer a bit of rest from our busy schedule. Pray that we make the most of our time together as a family and build great memories together.

June 8 Today is the commissioning service for new missionaries who’ve been in FPO (Field Personnel Orientation) the past couple months. They will be arriving at their respective fields around the world in the next few weeks. Pray for their final days in the states to be filled with good times with friends and families and pray for their safe travel and adjustment to life overseas.

June 10 Many of our colleagues in Niger will be traveling this month as they attend meetings, visit families, and help their children get settled at various colleges and universities. Pray for their safety as they travel and as they say goodbye.

June 13 It is graduation day for Caleb! Pray for Caleb as he makes decisions about the future. Pray for him as he continues to work at a nearby cinema this summer.

June 16 As the rainy season gets underway, pray for abundant rains and a good harvest in Niger. Pray that God would supply strength and stamina to the Zerma people as they spend long, hot days in the fields cultivating their crops.

June 18 Pray for Phil as he travels to Niger later this month with Pastor Lee and his daughter Hannah from our partnering church, FBC Sandersville, GA. Pray for safe travels, pray for many opportunities to share the gospel and help believers grow in their faith.

June 21 Food supplies from last year’s harvest are beginning to run low in many areas of Niger—pray for the provision of food during this growing season until the next harvest in September and October. Pray for the many children who are suffering from malnutrition.

June 23 Pray for the growth of the church in Niger. Pray that believers would have a vision for establishing churches across Niger that will serve as a catalyst for transforming lives characterized by integrity and joy and confidence in the risen Savior.

June 24 The Cains are in the process of obtaining medical clearance to return to the field. Pray for all necessary appointments to be timely and that the process would move forward quickly and smoothly.

June 25 Pray for Zerma believers who are experiencing persecution for their faith, that they would stand firm and not give in to discouragement or despair. Pray that they would point others to Christ through their example.

June 28 As seekers become more open to spiritual things, pray that they would have access to the scriptures, Christian programs on radio and TV, local churches and believers.

June 29 Pray for Caroline as she is looking for the right apartment or housing situation in the Richmond area. Ask God to give her wisdom and discernment as she continues to visit area churches and that she will clearly know where God would like her to invest her time and energy into a local body of believers.

June 30 Begin praying now for the upcoming conferences in July for IMB missionaries on stateside assignment. There will a large number of personnel at these two conferences. Pray for Phil and Kimberly as they meet with and encourage their colleagues.
