March 1 Pray that God’s glory would shine forth in the churches in Niger. Pray for them to be strong and powerful witnesses that testify to God’s goodness , mercy, and love.

March 2 Please continue to lift up Sahel Academy’s staffing needs for 2016-2017. Pray for there to be an adequate number of staff to meet the student’s needs. For more information, check out www.sahelacademy .com

March 3 Thank you for praying for the presidential election in Niger last month. To be declared a winner without the need for another run-off vote, the winning candidate needed to have 50% of the vote. The current president only achieved 49% so another vote will be necessary on March 20. Pray for calm and for the process to proceed peacefully.

March 4 Happy Birthday, Ben Sustar! Pray for Ben as he leads the Urban Team in Niger.

March 5 Pray for Pastor “Adam” and his family as they minister to the people in their neighborhood. Pray that those who are seeking to come and visit the church.

March 6 Pray for Kimberly’s health. An issue that seemed to be resolved at the end of 2015 has returned. Pray for answers and clarity for the doctor. Pray that the correct course of action will be taken to permanently resolve the issue.

March 7 Pray for the IMB staff and personnel that took the VRI (voluntary retirement incentive) and are adjusting to this new time of their lives. Adjusting to life in the U.S. after many years away takes time. Pray for them as they will be faced with many decisions about work, housing, transportation, and schooling.

March 8 Pray for a pastor Phil has been mentoring. He has been faithful in sharing and discipling many others to go out with him to villages around the capital city. Pray for him and those accompanying him to receive favor with the chiefs in these villages and for many to accept Jesus as their Savior.

March 9 Pray for Chris and Gen Bartlett and their four children. Pray that they will continue to strengthen their language learning and deepen their relationships among the Zerma and Dendi people.

March 10 Pray that the Zerma will learn to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind.

March 11 Sahel Academy’s spring break is March 11-29. Pray for safe travels home for the dorm students and their families. Pray that this break will provide some much needed rest from studies and lessons for the staff and students. Pray that they will finish the semester strong and return refreshed from Easter break.

March 12 Kimberly’s knee has improved since the surgery in November. Pray for continuing strength and endurance for this knee so that Kimberly can be increasingly active.

March 13 Remember the children who come to the Kids Clubs today. Pray that while Kimberly is stateside that His word, which is living and active, will penetrate their hearts and minds and prepare them to receive the stories that Kimberly will share with them when she returns.

March 14 This summer the Bartletts will be moving to their new town to reach the Dendi, a people group related to the Zerma. Pray that they will find the right house and for any work that may be needed to prepare for their arrival to be done in a timely manner so that they will have a smooth transition to their new home.

March 15 Today is Kimberly’s mom’s 73rd birthday. This is an extra special day because we can celebrate it with her! Praise God for her good health! We’re grateful to be able to be with her on her special day.

March 16
Happy Birthday, Phil Cain! Pray for a great day filled with family and fun. Pray for Phil as he serves the Lord in Niger and while stateside. Pray that God would continually give him peace, joy, wisdom, and understanding as he leads his family and the Zerma team.

March 17 Caleb will be traveling to Dallas to work with Stacey and Mike, two of our former volunteers, for the next few days, and will be returning home on the 21st. Pray for safety on the road and for Caleb to enjoy this sweet time of fellowship and for him to do a good job.

March 18 Pray for the “seekers” among the Zerma who are considering the claims of Christ, that their questions and objections will be answered. Pray for whole families to be converted.

March 19 Today will be the first day of training for new personnel in West Africa. This training will take about three weeks to complete. Pray for the participants and all involved to learn and grow so that they will be well prepared for life on the field in West Africa.

March 20 The run-off for the Niger presidential election is today. Pray for peace as the people of Niger cast their vote for the current president or the former prime minister. Pray for peace and calm among opposing parties as they elect the next president for their country.

March 21 March 21-25 is Ouachita Baptist University’s spring break. For the first time in her college life, Caroline will get to spend it with her mom, dad, and brother. Pray for a sweet time together as a family.

March 22 Pray for the Cains as they have time together as a family and for a small vacation trip they will be making to nearby resort area.

March 23 Pray that the Zerma will be convicted of their sin and that they will pursue peace and forgiveness and redemption through a relationship with Christ.

March 24 Tonight, the church that the Cains are attending while stateside will have a Maundy Thursday evening service and the Lord ’s Supper. Pray that this special time of worship will prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration of Easter Sunday.

March 25 We are giving praise that many new outreach groups have been started over the past year, most of them through the ministry of Pastor “B” and members of his church. It’s been exciting to hear that some of these groups are now wanting to take the gospel to other villages in their area. Pray for this vision to be enlarged and strengthened. Pray for the growth of the church in Niger and for the spiritual growth of individual believers.

March 26 Pray for our relationship with God, that we would have a close, daily walk with Him. Pray that we would know the power of the Holy Spirit, that we would have victory over sin, and that we would have a hunger for God's Word. Pray that we would make personal prayer time a priority in our daily lives.

March 27 Happy Easter! As you celebrate the risen Jesus today, take a moment to remember the Zerma people. Pray for those among the Zerma who have yet to hear the Good News and pray for them to hear and believe in Him who is able to save them from their sins!

March 28 Pray for our Muslim friends who visited Easter services yesterday, or perhaps observed them from a distance. Pray that the truths of the gospel will take root in their hearts.

March 29 Pray that God would raise up pastors and godly leaders from among Zerma believers. Pray that God would mold them into men and women of integrity and vision.

March 30 Pray that God will help Zerma believers develop discernment as they are exposed at times to false teaching such as the prosperity gospel.

March 31 Pray that Zerma believers will know God’s will and be obedient to His word. Pray this for the missionaries too!
