And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 5:11

December 1 Praise God for his wonderful provisions and blessings. Remember the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering as you are worshipping at your local church. Our family is so grateful for your giving to this offering so that we may serve Him among the Zerma people.

December 2 Did you know that 100% of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is used directly to fund missionaries on the field? The offering helps pay for housing, cars, and ministries of the Southern Baptist missionaries serving overseas. Pray that this year’s goal of $155 million would be reached or even exceeded.

December 3
Pray for endurance, stamina, and pacing for the missionaries serving in Niger to insure long-term, fruitful ministry. I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

December 4
Today begins the first day of the Week of Prayer for International Missions. Pray for missionaries around the world who are sharing Jesus with people who have never heard the Good News before.

December 5
Phil and Kimberly will be leading and teaching the new missionaries headed to Sub-Saharan Africa this week. Pray for them to maximize the time they have and to listen well and answer any questions and concerns the group might have about life overseas.

December 6
There will be interviews today with Journeyman who have completed their two year terms of service in Sub-Saharan Africa. Pray for open and honest communication between Phil, Kimberly, and these faithful women and that they would be encouraged during our time together.

December 7
Pray for the Skype calls we’ll be making with missionaries on the field this week—that that connections will work well and for good communication during the conversations with our new personnel.

December 8
Caleb will be taking driver’s education in the spring. Pray for him to do well on the written test this month so that he may obtain a learner’s permit and begin practicing before class begins.

December 9 The task of reaching the Zerma with the gospel is a large one. Pray for more prayer warriors to pray for the Zerma people.

December 10
Pray for the broad seed sowing of the gospel in Zerma to reach many people who are seeking for the truth. Pray for the radio and tv broadcasts, cassettes and written word to fall on ears who are ready to hear and obey.

December 11
Remember Gen Bartlett as she homeschools her children. Pray for her preparation time and for Isaiah, Maria, Shiloh, and Eden as they are learning and growing in their knowledge of scholastic and spiritual matters.

December 12
Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world and missionaries are constantly confronted with overwhelming requests for help. Ask God to give missionaries the grace to know how to respond to each person. Your speech should always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person (Colossians 4:6).

December 13
Pray for wisdom and discernment for Caleb as he chooses a college to attend. Pray that he will seek God’s direction and plans for his life during this process.

December 14
Pray for boldness for our colleagues in Niger when they share the gospel or preach.
Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19).

December 15
Pray for Pastor Adam and his wife Helen as they manage their boutique business. Pray for them to manage and operate it effectively so that it will help provide for this faithful family’s needs.

December 16
Today is the final day of orientation for new field personnel. Pray for these singles and families that will be saying good bye to their families in the US and enjoying the holiday season before heading to the field. Pray for their adjustment to their new homes overseas.

December 17
Pray for Phil as he travels to Arkansas to help move Caroline to Virginia. Kimberly’s mom will be coming for Christmas and will be traveling with them. Pray for their trip to go smoothly.

December 18
Ask God to help Philip and Kimberly protect their time for prayer and personal mediation in God’s Word. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the preaching ministry (Acts 6:4).

December 19
Caroline will be searching for employment. Pray for her to find a job that will utilize her gifts and abilities.

December 20 Pray for the Bartlett family and their spiritual nourishment in a cross-cultural context where there may be no church or a small, perhaps immature, church; spiritual nurturing for their children.

December 21
Happy Birthday, Kimberly! Pray that God would encourage, strengthen, and bless Kimberly with much joy today and in the coming year.

December 22
Pray for protection for young believers in the faith, so that they may grow strong, protected from societal pressures and false teaching.

December 23 Pray for our colleagues in Niger to have many new opportunities and open doors to share about the true meaning of Christmas.

December 24
As we celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace this Christmas season, pray for the government and leaders in Niger and for Niger to be a place of peace for all of its citizens.

December 25 Merry Christmas! As you celebrate this special day, pray for those who have yet to hear about Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection.

December 26
Pray for the Cain family as they enjoy the holiday season, their first in the US since 2007. Pray for special memories and times together as a family.

December 27 Pray that outreach groups and churches would multiply among the Zerma people.

December 28
Pray for wisdom for Zerma Christians in discipling and encouraging new believers.

December 29
Happy 26th anniversary to Phil and Kimberly. Pray for them as the serve in the SSL role through the summer of 2017. Pray for their marriage to remain strong and continue to grow sweeter as they go through the joys and struggles of the coming year.

December 30 We yearn to see God’s glory displayed among the Zerma, with thriving churches and followers of Jesus who are full of the joy of the Lord. Pray that He will raise up a generation of Zerma Christians who understand the times and what they must do, who will shine the light of Christ across Niger and beyond, to the nations.

December 31
As we enter into the new year, ask God to empower Phil and Kimberly to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit . . . I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind . . . (Romans 12:1-2).
