October 1 Pray for the teachers filling in for Kimberly as she is away attending a women’s conference. Pray for the lessons that Kimberly has prepared to go well and for the classes to run smoothly.

October 2 Pray for the women's conference that April and Kimberly are attending. Pray that we would hear from God. Pray for the ladies leading it, that they may have clarity and that the Lord may work through them.

October 3 Grace, a 4-month volunteer, is helping Kimberly with Kids Clubs here in Niamey. She will be continuing to meet and lead the clubs while Kimberly is away at a women’s conference. Pray that God will give her the ability to speak clearly and effectively the spiritual truths in the Bible stories. Pray for the kids who come each week, that they continue to listen and that God opens their hearts to His truth!

October 4 Today Muslims around the world will be observing Tabaski (or Eid al-Adha). On this day Muslims remember and commemorate Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son by slaughtering a ram. For many of our friends and neighbors this ritual sacrifice will be a way by which they hope to earn God’s favor and forgiveness. Pray that they will hear and understand the message of the cross and place their hope instead in the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

October 5 Pray for traveling safety for April, Kimberly, and the other women returning from the women’s conference today and tomorrow.

October 6 Praise God for the Cain family’s reunion today. Phil attended a conference the last week of September and returned on the plane that Kimberly left on for the women’s conference; they’ve been apart 17 days. Pray for Phil, Kimberly and Caleb as they celebrate being all together as a family again.

October 23 Pray for teams and churches in the U.S. to hear God’s call to come and work with and minister to the Zerma people. The task is great and you would be a blessing to the Zerma people and to our team!

October 24 Praise God for the opportunity He provided to April, Melanie, and Terra. For those few leaders, who are believers, pray that they would remain steadfast in their faith.

October 30 Pray that Christ would be exalted and that His name would be made known among the Zerma and all the nations of the earth.
