1- The consequences of a poor harvest last year continue to affect
lives of the Zerma. Pray for those who lack food—especially
the most vulnerable such as widows and orphans—to have
their needs met.
2- Pray for “EVE,” Kimberly’s friend and
neighbor. Thank God that she allows her children to come to kids’ clubs
every week. Pray that God would open her eyes and soften her heart
to the truth.
3- Pray for Zerma families whose husbands and fathers have
left Niger in search of work in neighboring countries. Pray that
God would meet their physical needs in such a way that causes them
to be receptive to the Gospel.
5- Today a volunteer team of four men from our partnering
church, FBC, Sandersville, GA, will be leaving the U.S. heading
for Niger. They will be spending the next 10 days in various villages
sharing the Word and discipling and encouraging believers. Pray
for safety for Scott, Scott, Andy and Bill as they travel. Pray
that they would adjust quickly to changes in climate and culture.
6- The team from FBC, Sandersville arrives today about 10:30
a.m. EST, about 4:30 p.m. Niger time. Pray that Scott, Scott, Andy,
and Bill would used greatly by God over the next ten days. Pray
that the lost would hear the gospel, that God would touch the hearts
of those who hear it, and that believers would be strengthened
and grow in their faith and knowledge of the Scriptures.
7- Please continue to pray for the staff needs for Sahel Academy,
our children’s school. We have a large number of
teaching positions open for the coming school. Pray that people
would be obedient to God’s call to come and teach here in
8- Pray for creativity and inspiration as Kimberly has built
friendships with many grocery store workers in Niamey. Pray that
she will find ways to share the Gospel with many she comes into
contact each week.
9- Pray for clarity and understanding for Kimberly as she begins
unit on “the life of David” with one of
the kids’ club groups this month.
10- Pray for a group of Zerma believers in the village of “B.” They
have been meeting together regularly to study the Word and several
of them have been recently baptized. Pray for their spiritual growth,
pray that they would be of one heart and one mind as they meet
together. Pray that the Lord would add to their number and that
they would be a positive witness to others in their village. Pray
that God would protect them from the schemes of Satan.
11- Pray for Don and Teresa as they continue to speak at
conferences and churches about the work among the Zerma.
12- Remember to pray for the team from FBC, Sandersville
as they continue to minister among the Zerma. They will probably
be hot and weary today so pray for them to have strength and perseverance.
13- Pray for rest and renewal for the Bolls as they have
traveled extensively and faithfully shared about the Zerma people.
14- The team from FBC, Sandersville will be leaving tomorrow,
headed home after a busy 10 days. Pray for a safe trip home and
pray for the seeds they planted and the soil they cultivated would
grow and flourish over the coming months.
15- Today is Kaye’s (Kimberly’s mom) birthday.
Pray for her as she preparing to move to be closer to Caroline
when she enters college this fall.
16- Today is Phil’s birthday. Pray that he would be
renewed in the Spirit today and that God would strengthen and equip
him to accomplish His tasks for the Zerma people.
17- Pray for Caroline and Sahel Academy’s senior class
as they leave today for their senior class trip. Pray for safety
as they travel down to the coast and for a fun and special time
together as a class.
18- In every decision we make today, help us to have the
mind of Christ. 1 Cor. 2:16
19- Pray for our strength, stamina, and patience as hot
season will have begun this month. Pray for good rest at night
to have energy for the many hot days ahead.
20- Pray that the Zerma people will be tender hearted towards
God and boldly choose to follow Christ.
21- Pray that God will open doors of opportunity for the
Cains to witness to the Zerma.
22- Pray for peace for Don and Teresa as they are used by
God where they live in the States.
23- For the next four days we’ll be joining with other
missionaries here in Niger for a spiritual retreat. Several volunteers
will be coming from the U.S. to lead us in worship and preaching
the Word. Pray for the volunteers as they travel and prepare to
minister to us. Pray that this would be a time of refreshment for
24- Pray for us to receive encouragement for dealing with
the complications of day to day living.
25- Pray for Phil and Kimberly to show that the love of
Christ is their reason for helping.
26- Pray that today’s celebration of Easter would
bring many opportunities to share the Good News of the gospel with
those who are lost. Pray that God would reveal Himself to those
who are seeking Him.
27- Pray for new Christians to cope with family or cultural
ostracism, and to grow in their relationship to Christ.
28- Thank you for praying for the children who come to kids’ clubs.
Many are growing in their understanding of who God is and how much
He loves them. Your prayers make a difference!
29- Pray for opportunities for Dona and Teresa to share
their worldview with congregations. Pray for receptive hearts and
for God to call out missionaries among those congregations.
30- May the Bolls and the Cains “be strengthened with
all power according to Your glorious might so that they my have
great endurance and patience, and joyfully give thanks to You,
Father.” Col. 1:11-12
31- Pray for the Saturday afternoon kids’ club in
the “G” neighborhood that meets at the church. Praise
God for the 30 to 40 children who come each week to hear the Bible
