Saturday, January 1, 2011 –Happy New Year! Pray that this will be the year that a multitude of Zerma people put their faith in Jesus and follow Him wholeheartedly.

Sunday, January 2, 2011 – Praise God the Goudel church continues to grow spiritually and in number. Ask God to mature the believers in their faith and give them a bold spirit to share the hope of the Gospel.

Monday, January 3, 2011 – Pray for Brandy, Kanesa and their friend Julie as they continue to visit and encourage believers in Niamey and K-town. Ask God to protect their health and open many doors for them to share the hope of the Gospel.

Tuesday, January 4, 2011 – The harvest in the Quallam area has been good, but with folks still in the fields the animals have to be carefully cared for as to not destroy the rest of the crops. There has been an order that everyone should be finished in the fields by December 31st, so the animals can be released. Pray that as January begins that the Bolls will be able to get out to villages and offer training, teaching and mentoring.

Wednesday, January 5, 2011 – God is moving among the hearts of Zerma children. The children eagerly greeted Kimberly and the two Wednesday afternoon groups have resumed meeting. The children retained their knowledge of the Bible stories and attendance has been good. Please pray for wisdom for Kimberly as she seeks out new areas in which to begin kids’ clubs.

Thursday, January 6, 2011 – Pray for Kanesa, Brandy and Julie to have a safe trip as they leave Niger and return to the states today. We praise God for His provision in allowing them to return to Niger for a few weeks. We also praise Him for their incarnational lifestyle and zeal for the Gospel.

Friday, January 7, 2011 – Praise God that Michael Frank, Stacey’s husband, was able to come to Niger to visit her and spend Christmas with her. We praise God for his safe travel and the arrival of all of his luggage.

Saturday, January 8, 2011 – Praise God that Stacey Frank has completely recovered from malaria and is back to work at Sahel as the school nurse and computer lab coordinator. Praise God for Stacey’s dedication and perseverance in the face of much illness and discouragement.

Sunday, January 9, 2011 – Thank you for praying for Caroline as she was homeschooled this semester. It is going very well and her school has been great at working out a plan to keep her on track for graduation in 2012 when she rejoins her class in January. Pray for her to continue to gain weight, strength and stamina.

Monday, January 10, 2011 – Pray that God would continue to bring volunteers and missionaries to Niger to help us reach the Zerma with the Gospel.

Tuesday, January 11, 2011 – Elections will be held this month for positions of leadership in the government. Pray for calmness and peace to prevail, that the voting will be orderly, and that whoever God allows to be elected would be wise and discerning and carry out their responsibilities with integrity.

Wednesday, January 12, 2011 – Pray for Cindy Sustar as she returns to teaching the 5/6 class at Sahel for the Spring Semester. School resumes today. Ask God to guide her as she helps her students grow spiritually and intellectually.

Thursday, January 13, 2011 – Maintaining a balance of ministry, taking care of necessary business, trying to do some major packing while taking some vacation at home all around Christmas are proving a very difficult balancing act. Pray for the Bolls as they end their "working vacation" January 13th.

Friday, January 14, 2011 – Ask God to call teachers to Sahel Academy who love the Lord and have a desire to invest in the lives of the students. Sahel Academy has need of teachers in both the elementary and secondary levels for the 2011-2012 school year. Saturday, January 15, 2011 – Pray Psalm 65 over the Zerma: “O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory, because your love is better than life.”

Sunday, January 16, 2011 –Pray for Ben as he continues to engage the men in the different FADA groups he meets with in the city. Ask God to make him aware of relevant ways to relate to them that leads to a life change for each member of the group and their choosing to follow Jesus.

Monday, January 17, 2011 – Ramatou is progressing in her knowledge and wisdom in Christ. Ask God to continue to bless her and make His love real to her. Pray that Ramatou would recognize this love, seize it and take the path of wisdom that only God can provide.

Tuesday, January 18, 2011 – Halidou continues to make visits with Teresa by telephone from another country he has been in for several years. Ask the Holy Spirit to encourage Halidou in his new life as he is an active witness among other Zerma who are far from home.

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 –Praise God today as you think on this Zerma saying, "Praise God you have made grand children!” Pray for Don and Teresa's grandson, Dillon, as he reflects on his Christmas visit with them and what God showed him.

Thursday, January 20, 2011 – What a welcome it was as kids ran out of the classroom to see the Bolls because of a latrine we are building for them. That was what we thought was the reason for their running. Actually a snake had been seen in the small classroom built out of straw! Pray for our witness at this school and the children's safety.

Friday, January 21, 2011 – Teresa's AIDS/Health village presentations restarted at a slow pace. Part of the reason is an abundant harvest that is just ending. Praise God for the harvest. Pray also that the village chiefs will remember the help their village can receive from Teresa's presentation and make contact with her.

Saturday, January 22, 2011 – Please pray for the Bolls as they are trying to finish several projects, pack and say goodbyes to so many villages and very special people that have been such a large part of their lives for the past 25+ years. The Bolls will be leaving Quallam in February and the tears along with emotions are almost overwhelming.

Sunday, January 23, 2011 – Year after year of missed holidays and special occasions with immediate family and friends can take a mental toll on missionaries serving God in faraway places. Pray God's comfort and encouragement as only He can provide to those who love the Lord and try to remain faithful to Him.

Monday, January 24, 2011 – Pray for our relationship with God and that we would have a close, daily walk with Him. Pray that we would know the power of the Holy Spirit, that we would have victory over sin, and that we would have a hunger for God's Word. Pray that we would make personal prayer time a priority in our daily lives.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 – 65 degrees F may not seem cold, but to the Zerma as well as many missionaries it is COLD! Days may reach near 100F, but nights can be difficult. Pray for many that are already experiencing colds and various allergy problems due to the dust. Pray for our ministry and the education that can be shared during this time. Pray that we would be faithful to teach as God leads.

Wednesday, January 26, 2011 – Pray that all believers would have a hunger for the Word of God, whether through hearing it or reading it. Pray for those who are hungry and ask the Lord to fulfill their need. Pray that the Christians who are anxious about the future would learn to depend fully upon God.

Thursday, January 27, 2011 – Zongo has had cataract surgery and is blind in the other eye. Albass lived with Zongo for the first 15 years of his life after his mother died. Pray for Albass as he is now in the village with his siblings and Zongo remains in Quallam. Pray for Albass as he continues to battle with epilepsy which has made it difficult for Zongo to help him.

Friday, January 28, 2011 – Pray for the Bolls as they will be going to many villages for the last time. Thank the Lord for the many friends made, for the ministry that was shared, and pray that truths taught and learned will continue to be shared with many more people.

Saturday, January 29, 2011 –We are so thankful for all your prayers on behalf of the Cain family. With great joy, we returned to our life and ministry among the Zerma in November. Please continue to pray for wisdom and guidance in all that we do.

Sunday, January 30, 2011 – Thank God for Zerma believers who have felt the call of God to be disciples who know and understand His Word. Pray that God would continue to add to their number.

Monday, January 31, 2011 – Pray for Ben and Pastor Yacouba as they teach the Men’s Bible Study on Monday nights. They will be focusing on ‘What the Bible says about doing business and personal integrity.’ Ask God to speak to each man present and direct or redirect his thinking so that it lines up with scripture.
